Project Information

Design a campaign for an art exhibition at Gagosian Gallery in Chelsea. This project is meant to focus on creating an integrated design system with multiple deliverables.

I was inspired by the gallery’s logo sticker in their magazine and Frankenthaler’s colors from her paintings. I thought that atteching stickers to the book could be a special way to represent the gallery because their typeface logo is well recognized, bold, and modern. Using the sticker format could be an effective way to reflect the gallery’s identity directly. As for the artist, her special painting technique attracted me, and I believed that extracting the colors and skills from her paintings could be the best option to represent my feelings about her work. Based on these ideas, I applied the format of colorful play of the artist’s paintings and the sticker format/overlapped, along with the typeface to all applications.
